JIDVEI

Castles have their own legends about knights and noblemen,
but in the heart of Transylvania, they also tell a story of wine:
layered, vibrant and perfectly balanced.

The Art of Winemaking

The gift, the craftsmanship, the care and innovation are just four of the elements that reward the expectation
of those who know and truly appreciate quality wine.

Sauvignon Blanc

A cosmopolitan variety that prefers slopes with southern or south-western exposure and direct sunlight; great conditions for dry or semi-dry, fine and elegant wines.

Welschriesling

The “Italian Riesling”, it is ideal for producing a wide range of wines, from dried, semi-sweet or even sweet wines, the key ingredient for sparkling and wine distillates.

Pinot Grigio

Originally from the region of Burgundy, France, the Pinot Grigio has been cultivated since the Middle Ages. In its infancy, the wine seems unpolished, but after a slight maturation, it becomes fine, extractable and dynamic.

Muscat Ottonel

It is considered one of the oldest varieties in the world, today having a “family” of over 200 varieties. It thrives in cooler regions and is representative of dessert wines.

Chardonnay

A true “chameleon of aromas”, Chardonnay was crafted in Burgundy, the result of hybridizing an old variety called Gouais Blanc with one of the varieties belonging to the Pinot group.

Feteasca Regala

Firstly discovered in the 1920s, right on the Tarnave vineyard, Feteasca Regală accumulates moderate amounts of sugars, perfect for dry and semi-dry, neutral wines, characterized by freshness and balance.

Romanian Wine

One of the world’s best kept secrets

Wine growing and winemaking have a longhistory in the Tarnave Region and were mentioned by Herodotus in 600 BC. In this area, the viticulture has developed gradually but it throve in the 12th century, after the arrival of Saxon settlers from the Mosel and Rhine valleys.
